After working 25 years as a graphic designer, clay has imposed itself and it is in ceramic that I found happiness. Today my work is my satisfaction and depends only
on my hands.
I live my art in a very intimate way. Ceramic is a sanctuary. It is an activity which absorbs you. You put yourself aside as if you're inside the object you're throwing.
I have a very peculiar relation with clay. After throwing and firing, i am not looking for a specific result, I work in such a way it surprises me. It's an exchange,
it guides me and I let it evolve.
The raku technic allows me to have a rough touch to my stoneware. The firing brings indeed a lot of surprises. Otherwise, the medium and my state of mind guide me :
I trust my hands.
